Sandy Roth Honored
The Friends of Sandy Roth hosted a retirement party for our recently retired Town Board member Sanford "Sandy" Roth on Friday, Feb. 26th at The Vista Restaurant. There was a very large turnout tof friends and family to show their appreciation and thanks for Sandy. A number of speakers took the podium to praise his commitment, work, loyalty, and dedication to his fellow town residents for his 17 years serving on the Town Board.
By all accounts, it was a really nice event, capped off with a very emotional and heartfelt speech from Sandy thanking all who had helped him, especially his family and wife Carol. The standing ovation for Sandy at the end was long, enthusiastic, and very genuine for this outstanding and noble gentlemen who defined what public service means in our town.
Sandy was honored at the December 21st Town Board meeting for his upcoming retirement. Supervisor Phil Barrett presented Sandy with the rarely awarded "Key To Clifton Park" to thank him for his 17 years of service to our residents as an elected official.
A number of other officials and residents spoke that night with warm words of thanks and appreciation to Sandy for his outstanding dedication and commitment for such a long period. Committee Chairman Bob Wilcox also thanked Sandy for his tireless efforts in support of the Clifton Park Republican Committee over the years.
